The Barbering Program consists of English only lessons addressing the practice of barbering. The theoretical training is conducted in a classroom setting consisting of lecture and demonstration. Practical training offers barber services to the public. Students successfully completing this program will be eligible to sit for the exam for state licensure in California which is administered the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. The Barber Crossover Program consists of technical and practical instruction in preparing the client’s hair for shaving, assessing the condition of the client’s skin, performing shaving techniques, applying after-shave antiseptic following facial services, massaging the client’s face and rolling cream massages. (200 Hours)
